One slot. One winner.
Every 24 hours.
thespotlight.lol auctions a single featured slot on its own front page. Not a directory, not a list of ten — one product, alone, for one day. Then the clock resets and it is gone.
Place a bid
Name your product, drop a link and a 60-character tagline, and pay whatever you think the slot is worth. The floor is $5. You do not have to beat the leader.
Sit on the board
Every paid bid is on the board while the auction runs, then on the front page for the whole of the day it competed for — win or lose. That is the part you are actually buying.
Midnight UTC decides
The highest bid takes the hero for 24 hours. Everyone else keeps their place on the page below it, and every bid you make is added to your permanent rank on the all-time board.
Scarcity is the product.
Most promotion sites sell you a row in a list that gets longer every week. Your placement decays quietly while the page fills up around you. Here there is exactly one slot, it belongs to one product, and it expires in a day.
That makes the price honest in both directions. When the slot is quiet you can take the front page for the price of lunch. When it is contested you will pay for it — and everyone watching can see exactly what it went for, because the whole board is public while the auction runs.
Scarce does not mean disposable, though. On a permanent leaderboard, five dollars buys you a rank in the four figures that nobody will ever scroll to. Here it buys a day on the front page and a place on the all-time board that never expires. One slot is contested; the record of everyone who contested it is not.
